I've ordered this costume for my daughter who was 5 last year. It did look big, but then again, it is specified in the product details that the costume runs big. My daughter is an average size child, may be a bit on a taller side. It only took few minor alterations to fit. The design and quality of the fabric is great! my daughter was very happy with her Halloween look last year, and this year my friend's daughter gets to wear this same costume!

It's very fun and easy to make a Zorro mask for Halloween. Zorro is one of the most recognizable fictional characters there is. You're sure to have a blast when you wear a Zorro costume for Halloween or any costume occasion. In case you didn't know, Zorro was a character created by Johnston McCulley in 1919. He is a black masked hero who is a defender of the poor and oppressed during the Spanish colonial era in California. He is a nobleman and a swordsman in the guise of Don Diego de la Vega. He has very cunning fox-like abilities and is often seen with his black horse Tempest.

You can never go wrong with creating a Zorro mask for Halloween. Masks are great costumes for celebrating special occasions and holidays. Masks are traditionally used all over the world in commemoration of religious and national events. In other countries, masks make for a lucrative business as they can sell as high as hundreds to thousands of dollars. Among the many countries known to largely use masks are Africa, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, China, Mexico, Guatemala, and the Caribbean.

What's good about a Zorro mask is that you can use it for other occasions aside from Halloween, like at cosplays, on stage, birthdays, film, etc. Zorro's character is very similar to that of Robin Hood, in a way that they both defend a just and noble cause against the evil governing powers of their time. All you'll need for your Zorro costume are black trousers, a black shirt, black cape, black handkerchief, black thread, needle, black shoes, fake sword, black gloves, black hat, and scissors.

The first step in making your Zorro mask is by draping a black handkerchief over your head like you would a bandanna. Cut out two small holes where the eyes should be so you can properly see through the mask. The next step is to match the black shirt, pants cape, shoes, gloves, and hat altogether to fit the general concept of your hero. The cape should fit your shoulders and should go all the way down to your ankles. You can also create an additional accessory in the form of a red sash (this is really optional). The entire costume wouldn't be complete without Zorro's famous sword. Draw a fake curving mustache on your face and you're all ready to go. All you need now is the accent and charisma that only Zorro is known for.

The most exciting thing about dressing up for the holiday is the pleasure of being able to spend it with your friends and family. What I enjoy most about the festivities is how it transports me back to a time when I didn't have a care in the world and when the world was kinder, easier and more beautiful - back when I was a child. So go on, wear and enjoy your Zorro mask and maybe, just maybe, you'll catch a glimpse of what it feels like to be a kid again.

Halloween, which comes from the word All Hallows Eve, is tied directly to All Saints Day celebrated on Nov 1, to commemorate the old saints who have past on. These saints were heroes or martyrs for the Christian faith. Today we celebrate Halloween by allowing ourselves and our children to dress in costumes and go door to door asking for tricks or treats. This holiday is far from spiritual and doesn't include God as its main focus. The Bible doesn't directly speak about Halloween, but it gives us guidelines to follow. In Exodus 22:18, Acts 8:9-24 and Acts 16, 19, the bible clearly tells us that pagan practices, such as: witchcraft, sorcery or occults, are to be avoided.

As Christians we shouldn't allow ourselves or our children to participate or dress in costumes in relation to these practices. So how do we incorporate God in a holiday that praises the world and still allow our children to have fun? Here are 3 ways to put God back into Halloween:

1. Encourage your church to hold a "Harvest Party" that night instead. As a parent, you may feel safer if your child is inside and away from danger. This can also encourage parents to invite neighbors to join them as a safe alternative for their family. A fall themed decor can be used and kids can have fun bobbing for apples, having wheel barrel races and sing a longs. Parents can use this time to minister to other parents with a short devotional.

2. You can have a "Trunk or Treat" in your neighborhood community. The children all dress up in non-evil costumes and participate in activities and games agreed upon. You can even have costume contests, like "most creative", "biggest-fanciest hats", or "best make up", etc, and prizes are awarded for the winners. The adults park their cars in the parking lot with trunks open and the children go to each car and say "Trunk or Treat" and each adult can hand out treats and bible scriptures from their trunk! This idea promotes a safe and fun-family environment. And spreads God's word at the same time!

3. Having a skate party at your local skating rink or park can be another idea for Halloween. Adults and kids can dress up in non-evil costumes and skate the night away! Your church family and neighborhood can come together and skate to Christian music, with food and treats available as well. Parents will become inspired by God's word in song and get a little bit of exercise at the same time!

These are just a few ideas your neighborhood or church family can use. There can be many more Christian based themes we can come up with, if we put our minds to it. As long as we put God first and pray that His will is done in our lives, then our children can have fun and God will be praised at the same time!
